Skadi Frei-Seifert

Skadi Frei-SeifertI grew up in a tiny village in East Germany. My exceptionally good genetic potential was obvious and since middle school I trained four times a week. I specialized in javelin and discus throw, then basketball during high school. A cruciate ligament on my knee broke and ended my basketball career.

In 1995, I studied sports science at University of Leipzig and began regular weight training. After completing, I moved to Switzerland and managed the national team of Switzerland in professional cycling. Later, I began working as a Fitness instructor, then got the chance to set up a fitness center using my care philosophy. I devoted myself entirely to the fitness industry.

I coordinated job, family and training for 3 years at full throttle and was so burned out that a change was needed. I found a job as a PE teacher and turned my focus on training other people.

In 2001, my daughter Xenia arrived and had no time for cycling which left only strength training. I am always looking for a challenge in a contest and found it in bodybuilding. The dream came true for me with the receipt of the Pro card.
